Omo Naija Magazine is a quarterly lifestyle magazine that can be accessed by logging unto
www.omonaijamag.com. Omo Naija Magazine was
launched on September 2, 2006. The main purpose of the magazine is to keep Nigerians
and those interested in the
culture informed on the latest news regarding Nigerian culture, fashion,
entertainment, and politics. We want all young Nigerians to be encouraged to
learn more about where they come from and with that knowledge be motivated to
give back towards the country’s development.
Our Mission
Although many Nigerians living abroad remain committed to preserving their culture, growing
up in western culture can make that commitment to tradition difficult. While tackling some of
these cultural conflicts, Omo Naija will also help young diasporic Nigerians find common ground
with and embrace the heritage of their parents, relatives, and fellow Nigerians. Every issue of
Omo Naija Magazine will exemplify the beauty and richness of our culture by offering substantive
articles relating to Nigeria’s culture, politics, and religion, in addition to current events in
entertainment and fashion. Omo Naija Magazine also aims to promote Nigeria’s rising artists,
fashion designers, and entrepreneurs and gives them a platform to introduce their talents.
In short, Omo Naija Magazine strives to edify and entertain the young generation of Nigerians,
with the ultimate goal of instilling pride and appreciation for the culture.
Additionally, Omo Naija Magazine serves as a form of empowerment and expression for today’s
generation of Nigerians. By providing quality and current information on issues most relevant
to the country’s development, Omo Naija Magazine promotes awareness and encourages our readers
to engage in provocative discourse on solutions to our country’s problems. We believe in the
leadership and strength of our readers and know that with knowledge they too can be a part of
the country’s advancement. We aim to provide that knowledge and inspiration.
What is most notable about Omo Naija Magazine, and what distinguishes us from other publications,
is that Omo Naija Magazine is premised on community service. Each year, Omo Naija Magazine hosts
an S.O.S (Saving Ourselves) event. This annual fund raising event is intended to raise funds for
a particular charitable organization and raise awareness to its mission and cause.
